Well here I am, back after a long time away. So where have I been? I’ve done a Permaculture Design Course at the fabulous Northey St, I’ve enjoyed spending time in my garden and what I can grow in it, I’ve crafted and I’ve been on holiday – Scotland, England and Paris.
I’m sorry to have neglected this space, I’ve noticed lots of you still popping back to see if I’ve returned and now I have! And I’m going to resume with some photos from our amazing trip…
We had a wonderful time in Scotland, England and Paris and can’t wait for our next adventure. Some exciting news to report too, on Christmas Day Justin proposed to me!!! Of course I said yes
He gave me the most beautiful opal ring which he made himself (he even fossicked the opal himself!). So now I get to do the other fun parts involved with a wedding!
Til next time!

The wedding was down at Ewingsdale (near Byron Bay) at the Byron Palms Nursery, owned by the groom’s parents. The wedding was held under the biggest, most beautiful tree I have ever seen and the ceremony was simple but stunning.

There’s only a day left before we close the deed on Airplot! Sign up now to get your piece of the plot, and help us reach 100,000 beneficial owners by April 30th. This will ensure the next government is faced with strong opposition, and can be persuaded to shelve Heathrow expansion for good. What is Airplot? It’s a piece of land slap bang in the middle of the proposed third runway site at Heathrow, now shared by over 80,000 people. We’re not going to let the runway be built and we need your help!
Why is this expansion bad? An additional runway will mean an additional 225,000 flights over London in the course of a year. This will lead to Heathrow Airport becoming the single biggest greenhouse gas emitter in the United Kingdom and will go against the British Government’s plan to reduce emissions by 80% by 2050. Also, the village of Sipson and surrounding areas will no longer exist. The community in these areas will have to relocate to make way for a gigantic concrete runway. There are already 6 airports surrounding London. We do not need any more…
The wonderful Emma Thompson has joined with Greenpeace, Alistair McGowan and Zac Goldsmith and purchased a large amount of land that is in the proposed runway area. They are all so passionate about this unneeded development as you can see below.
Click here to get your own bit of the airplot and save the village of Sipson.
Our planet is facing bigger challenges than ever before. Our ancient forests are being chopped down and our oceans recklessly fished out and polluted at a breathtaking pace. Whaling, toxic pollution, dirty coal, dangerous nuclear energy and genetically engineered crops threaten the quality and even sustainability of lives around the planet. Catastrophic climate change looms as governments and industry spend time and resources in hopes of increasing their profits while avoiding the changes necessary to curb carbon emissions.
The Earth needs more people like you who care about environmental issues, more people who will use their voices to defend it – and more people who will take action to protect it.
To celebrate the amazing work that is being done by so many individuals around the world I am having a special discount!
This offer is available from today 22nd April til the 1st of May but only a limited number of sessions are available so book quickly!
A green and peaceful future is possible – please join us in making it happen. The Earth needs our attention not just on Earth Day, but every day.

Just wanted to let you all know that I’ve had a computer malfunction and that I lost most of my emails. My computer is due to be fixed on Tuesday and I won’t know until then what has been saved. If you want to get in contact you can call me or wait until Tuesday to send me an email.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Things have just been a little hectic recently. I will be back with images very soon! For now, let’s turn Facebook green.
We need your help to get Facebook.com running on 100 percent renewable energy. If you are on Facebook please join this facebook group and invite your friends.
Why Facebook? Why now? Because the company just announced plans to run its massive new data centre in Oregon (US) on dirty energy. Facebook is now the second most-visited website in the U.S., and one of the top websites in the world. It’s time that the company cleaned up their act and put their weight behind the struggle to stop climate change. Like the late, great historian Howard Zinn said — you can’t be neutral on a moving train.
How the internet is powered is an issue not just for Facebook but for the entire IT industry. The industry holds many of the keys to reaching our climate goals by innovating internet based solutions to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and increase energy efficiency. Technologies that enable smart grids, zero emissions buildings, and more efficient transport systems are central to efforts to combat climate change. IT companies should quit coal, go renewable.
We can use our facebook networks to spread the word and encourage the company to join the cause now, at this critical time in its development.
Just so you all know I will be away over the weekend. I am attending Earth Frequency 2010 out in Jimna State Forest – workshops, music and great food!
If you want to contact me it’s best to send me an email as I won’t have my phone turned on while away. I will get back to you when I return.
Have a wonderful weekend all!
